Artist Salieri Circus Award
Nicol Nicols

We might call him a fil-de-fériste in French or a filferista in Italian. However, these simple terms indicating a category of gymnastic art would not convey a complete idea of Nicol's story. We should note that Nicol Nicols' entire existence is centred on the tightrope, upon which he walks and dances. He engages in amazing acrobatic leaps, moving backwards and forwards, and even jumping into a ring of fire like a tiger. A truly classical gymnast, Nicol has spent his life on the stage. Starting when he was only five years old, he performed in Icarian-style acts with the rest of the Nicols family, including his parents and three siblings. Once he had reached the age of maturity he decided he would go it alone and follow his own path. He began his amazing career as a solo artist and has staged his act in some of the leading circuses in the world, following in the footsteps of his famous uncles, the Hermanos Tonitos.
